CD9 expression is increased in rd2 retinas. Representative images of CD9 expression in different layers of wt retinas (A) and rd2 (B) at P18. CD9 expression was increased statistically in rd2 retinas in the ONL at P18 (C). PARP inhibition changed CD9 level in in vitro organotypic retinal cultures derived from rd2 retina. Representative images of CD9 staining in untreated rd2 and treated rd2 with Olaparib, BMN-673, and 3AB PARP inhibitors (A, B, D, E, F, G), BMN-673 treated group showed significant difference. However there was a decrease in all three treatment groups compared to the control group (D–H).
