Increase in ventricular volume and associated periventricular tissue alterations in CLND animals. In the periventricular white matter (PVWM), there is an overall decrease in density as the tissue spacing widens, and a decrease in the structure of the ventral internal capsule (VIC) is identified. Additionally, an enlargement of the ependymal cell lining is observed. These changes are more pronounced at 8 weeks (8 W)
